Naomi C. Isbell, 93, formerly from Milan, Tennessee, passed away on August 4, 2023 peacefully, surrounded by her family. Naomi was born on April 6, 1930 in her family home on a country road in Gibson County, TN to her mother Ruby Parker Comer and father Melvin Comer. Naomi met her husband Wilford Lee Isbell at the young age of 17, and they spent 71 blissful years in marriage. During this time their only child, Dona Marie Isbell was born. Naomi went on to work 41 years at the Henry I Siegel (H.I.S.) plant in Trezvent, TN before retiring in 1992. After retirement Naomi and Wilford spent their time enjoying their grandchildren Jeffrey Lee Wheeler and Holly Marie Wheeler, spending time at their place at the lake, fishing, gardening, and enjoying life. Naomi was preceded in death by her husband Wilford, her mother Ruby and father Melvin, her sisters Nellie Modean Barnett and Mary Pearline Scott. She is survived by her daughter Dona (Larry), grandson Jeff, granddaughter Holly (Diwoski), and four nieces and their families. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at the Northside Baptist Church in Milan at 2 PM with burial to follow in the GIbson County Memory Gardens near Milan. Visitation with the family will be held from 12 - 2 PM Saturday at the church.
