Funeral service for Nelda Joy Sellers, age 82 of Milan, will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at 12 PM at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Gibson County Memory Gardens near Milan. Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday from 10 AM – 12 PM at the funeral home.

Nelda was born on June 21, 1942, to William "Bill" and Nellie Rutledge Carman in Lilbourn, MO. She was retired from the Milan Mills Corporation in Milan and attended the Northside Baptist Church.

She was known for her love of family and cooking. Throughout her life, she made hundreds of cakes and pies for various events and especially for people during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

Nelda is survived by three children Mike Sellers (Boo) of Medina, Donna Keymon of Atwood and Lisa Gardner (Scott) of Lincolnton, NC, a brother John Rodney Mewbourn (Linda) of Humboldt, four grandchildren Zac Keymon (Jessie) of Bradford, Rachel Hinson (Jeremy) of Medina, Natalie Morrow of Lincolnton, NC and Brady Sellers of Medina and five great grandchildren Audi Lifsey, Oliver Keymon, Theo Keymon, Mia Towery and Miley Morrow. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Sellers, a son Clyde Carman Sellers, two brothers Harmon Carman and Harold Carman and two sisters Marcene Cleary and Doris Lavelle.
