Mrs. Lillian "Nell" Powell Overton, age 91, of Milan died on May 17, 2021 at the Van Ayer Nursing Home in Martin, Tennessee. She was born on October 24, 1929 in Cades and was the daughter of John and Ada Powell. She was the widow of Harry Overton. They were married 46 years when he passed away in 1992. She was a lifelong member of the church of Christ. She was preceded in death by five brothers: George, William, Hassell, James, and J. W. "June" Powell and three sisters: Wilma Ruth, Elizabeth Bloodworth and Mary Jean Rauchle. She was also preceded in death by her son Stanley Overton and daughter Judy (Randall) Roark of Huntingdon. Survivors include a daughter, Linda and son in law Dr. Don Wright of Martin; son in law Randall Roark (Clarksburg) and grandchildren Brian (Margaret) Roark of Nashville, Bradley (Mollie) Roark of Nashville, and Burton Roark of Atlanta, Georgia, Jonathan (Jenifer) Helm of Nashville; and seven great grandchildren: Maia, Peter, Isaac Roark, Annie and Millie Roark and Grayson and Garrett Helm all of Nashville. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on May 21st at the Oakwood Cemetery in Milan with Bodkin Funeral Home in charge. Phillip Plyer will preside at the graveside service. Pallbearers are her four grandsons and her two nephews- Tim Rauchle of Milan and Rusty Bloodworth of Memphis. Honorary pallbearers are Harold Johnson, Franklin Rauchle, James Sloan and Joe McNabb.
