Graveside service for Nita Joan Kaler Taylor, age 73 of Milan, will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Oakwood Cemetery in Milan. There will be no visitation prior to the service. She passed away on January 27, 2025, at her residence in Milan after a short illness.

Nita was born in Paducah, KY on April 17, 1951, to James and Beatrice Crocker Kaler. She received a degree in secondary education and retired as a Kindergarten Teacher from the Louisiana Department of Education. Nita was a faithful member of the Milan First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband Edward Taylor, Jr. of Milan, two children Amy Rose Guesner (Scott) of South Lake, TX and Andrew Taylor (Melanie) of Plano, TX, four grandchildren Kaitlyn Guesner, Braxton Guesner, Corinne Taylor and Lawson Taylor, a sister Sharon Hooker of Milan and one brother Stephen Kaler (Rhonda) of Lynnville, TN. Nita was preceded in death by her parents James and Beatrice Kaler and a brother Terry Kaler.
