Memorial services for Mrs. Nora Lee Barner, age 99 of Milan, will take place at 2:00 pm, Saturday, September 1, 2018, at the Milan Cumberland Presbyterian Church with burial to follow in the Gibson County Memory Gardens near Milan. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, from 1:00 pm until service time. Mrs. Nora has been a longtime resident of Milan. Mrs. Nora was a member of Milan Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she served as deacon and treasurer. She retired from the Milan Arsenal. She enjoyed volunteering at Milan General Hosptial. Mrs. Barner is survived by her sisters, Marcella Brannon of Christmasville, TN, Wilma Shankle of Pillowville, TN, and Mildred Cooper of Greenfield, TN; numerous nieces and nephews; and very close friend Mack Woods. She is preceded in death by her parents, Luther George and Lectie Galey Cooper; husband, Leon Barner; brothers, Phillip Cooper and Ralph Cooper; and a sister, Evelyn Johnson.
