Funeral service for Mr. Obie Freeman Bowers, age 74 of Milan, will be held on Monday, June 9, 2014 at 11 am at Bodkin Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Bowers Chapel Cemetery near Trenton. Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday evening from 5 - 7 pm at the funeral home. Mr. Bowers was a member of the United Methodist Church. He was a 1958 graduate of Peabody High School and served his country in the US Navy. Mr. Bowers was a retired electrician for Tower automotive where he worked for 21 years and was a member of the Milan VFW and American Legion.
