Graveside service for Rachel Delinda Hays, age 85 of Jackson, formerly of Milan, will be held on Monday, March 22, 2021 at 4 pm at the Obion Chapel Cemetery near Cedar Grove. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. She was born on December 24, 1935 to Jess and Bertha Douglas Wheeler near Jackson. Rachel was a member of the Oakwood Baptist Church in Milan and she was retired from Kellwood Industries in Greenfield. Rachel is survived by two sons Richard Carroll (Brandi) of Old Hickory, TN and Derick Hays (Lydia) of Little Rock, a sister Marie Bedwell of McKenzie and three grandchildren Ramsey Yassin of Hickory, NC, Sydney Carroll and William "Jack" Carroll both of Old Hickory. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers Aaron Wheeler, Woodrow Wheeler, Frank Wheeler and Vurmon Wheeler and three sisters Dorothy Fletcher, Flossie Fuchs and Marion Wheeler.
