Raymon Nelson, Sr., age 71, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

He was born on July 17, 1952, in Carroll County to the late Roy Nelson and Lily Marie Nelson.

In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Ann Nelson; brother, Ray Nelson; stepdaughter, Gina Willis; and one grandchild.

He is survived by his son, Raymond Nelson, Jr and wife Amy of Bruceton; two step daughters, Deana Kirby of Cedar Grove and Kellie Reynolds of Dresden; six brothers, Sherrell Davidson, JR Nelson, Wayne Nelson, Ricky Nelson, Lynn Nelson and Dale Nelson; five sisters, Carol Jean Carter, Cathy Wingo, Judy Grooms, Susie Reed and Lisa Weatherford; six grandchildren, Kelsie Paige Nelson, Aiden Conner Nelson, Nicholas Powell, Kaitlyn Lewis, Brett Lewis and Blake Lewis; and ten great grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at 2 PM at Bodkin Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday from 11 AM – 2 PM at the funeral home.
