Richard (Rick) Holmes Belew joined his mother and father in heaven May 3rd, 2019. He was a 1964 graduate of MIlan High School, and received his engineering degree from the University of Memphis. He was the founder and owner of Pneumatic Systems in Jackson, Tennessee for 25 years. HIs company was awarded the Pinnacle award which recognizes top businesses based on history, growth, customer service, employee satisfaction, and community involvement. Rick was born October 19th, 1945 and attended Park Avenue and Milan High. At Milan High he was involved with football, track, and basketball with him receiving most valuable player for that sport. He was also a four year letterman He was drafted into the US Army and served 13 months in Vietnam prior to college He was a member at First Baptist Church in Milan. He was an avid sailor and spent a great deal of his time at Pickwick on his sailboat Pinnacle. Rick loved to travel and would always take the opportunity to sail. Rick was very talented and could fix anything. When he was 16 he got his grandfathers 42 Ford and fixed that car into running form. He was always up for a challenge. Rick's personality was fantastic, he was so funny and always the life of the party which was constant entertainment for all his friends. Rick was preceded in death by his parents Harold Lewis Belew and Bobbie Holmes Belew. He leaves a sister Donna Belew Abbott (Charles) of Stuart, FL, his children Richard Andrew Belew (June) of Memphis, TN and Ashley Belew Cavill (Gregory) of Pinehurst, NC and four grandchildren Zoe Belew, Hayes Belew, Jetson Cavill, and Maren Cavill. Funeral services will be held May 7th 2019 3pm at Bodkin Funeral Home in Milan with burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimers Association in memory of his beloved mother, Bobbie, who battled the disease.
