Richard Jackson Burrow III, born in Milan, Tennessee on May 5, 1956, was the son of Richard Jackson Burrow, Jr and Ruth Marie Simpson Burrow.
Rick attended Milan schools and graduated in 1974 from Old Hickory Academy in Jackson, Tennessee. He then attended Mississippi State University where he received a B.A. degree in Political Science in 1978.
After attending Mississippi College School of Law for a short time, Rick returned to Milan to the family business, the R.J. Burrow Department Store. After also trying his hand at the Real Estate business, he founded Burrow's Appraisal Service, which he enjoyed and later retired.
Rick was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church of Milan and Humboldt where he was a deacon and elder. He most recently was a member of the Milan First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Wendy Fry Burrow, a daughter Julia Faith Burrow of Milan, a son Lucas Jackson Burrow of Milan. He is preceded in death by two daughters, Laura Jane Burrow and Annalisa Grace Burrow, and his parents Richard Jackson Burrow, Jr and Ruth Simpson Burrow.
He is also survived by two sisters, Jackie Ruth Burrow Lawler (Phil) of Montevallo, Alabama and Rachel Marie Burrow Cummings (John) of Thompson Station, Tennessee, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Rick was a devoted and loving Christian, husband, father, brother, family member, and friend, who always saw the good in others. He attributed his strength and courage to his faith and trust in the Lord, and to God always gave the glory.
Funeral services will take place at 2:00 PM Sunday, March 17, 2019, at the Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Oakwood Cemetery in Milan.
Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
