Obituary

Mr. Richard Joseph Stein son of Diane and Carl Stein. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, and baby brother. He leaves behind 5 children Treffle Stein, Christopher Stein, Thomas Drasal, Timothy Drasal, and Tabitha Foster. He also leaves behind 13 grandchildren. He was born and raised in Chatham Township in New Jersey. He was a multi-sport athlete. He was the oldest of 3 children. He was also notably, a teenager during the 1970s. He always told the story and laughed about one night that his friend wanted him to sneak out of the house when they were about 11 years old. He begged Richard to go to a concert that was towards upstate New York. But Richard chickened out. He later found out that he missed out on Woodstock. (And it was probably a good thing). He loved Led Zeppelin and the long and drawn out guitar solos that they jammed out to as kids. He loved to catch the train into town and snag tickets for a couple bucks to shoot over to Mets games or to watch Joe Namath and the Jets. He grew up and worked as a mover for a company in New Jersey, and I swear there wasnt a place in the United States that he couldnt describe in detail to you. He spent time in Escondido, California. He lived in Texas. He was in the military and stationed at Bragg. He traveled all over to places that I will probably never see. He moved companies in and out of the World Trade Centers. He moved famous people and executives all over the states. He knew every Highway and interstate, and even when it was built. He was a handy man, a painter, and a hard worker. He knew every stat and average of every player, in every sport (even soccer). He knew third string, practice squad players by name. Which also made it very hard to beat him in fantasy football. He was borderline genius. He was a good dad, Grandaddy, and friend. Cremation
