Robert Sydney Brown, age 81 of Milan, passed away October 6, 2024, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital after a brief illness. He was born July 4, 1943, in Chestertown, Kent County, Maryland to Sydney and Betty Hadaway Brown.

He worked for H & M Architects & Engineers as an electrical engineer for 52 years. He served in the Tennessee Army National Guard for 6 years. Robert loved to fish and bowl. He and his wife Betty traveled around in the US, foreign countries, and the Caribbean Islands on cruise ships.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years Betty Kizer Brown; daughter, Teresa Dawn Brown; son, Matthew Wesley Brown (Emily); grandchildren, Elijah Cates (Rainey), Jared Cates (Devin), Jordan Cates (Tori), Kizer Brown, Katibeth Brown, Kannon Brown, and 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Allen Brown (Diane), Mark Brown (Lori), Joe Brown (Angie); sisters, Cindy Nagy Brown and Lisa Brown.

Funeral services will take place at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Lavinia Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday evening from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Wednesday from 10:00 AM until service time.
