Ronnie Lynn Horne passed away October 29, 2020 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. He was born in Trenton, TN on September 7, 1947 to Doyle and Vernelle Lowery Horne of Bradford, TN. He graduated in 1966 from Bradford High School. He attended vocational school, where he obtained his heating and cooling certification, which led to a very long and successful career of more than fifty years, and he also retired from the Bradford Postal Service.
After a blind date to the 1969 Gibson County Fair and one look at his beautiful blue eyes,, Lynda Dawson Horne of Milan, TN found the love of her life, and they married on May 15, 1970. They raised their two children in Bradford where Ronnie was known as a vital part of the community from being the mail carrier that shared pieces of gum with all of the neighborhood children to the community handyman. He loved his family, friends, and his church at Skullbone Church of Christ.
He is preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind his loving wife and their children, Amie Yarbrough and her husband Greg of Jackson, TN and Andy Horne and wife Leighann of Bradford, TN, his only sibling, his sister, Donna Horne Lanciloti of Milan, TN. In addition he leaves behind four grandchildren, Jeremy (Courtney) Smith of Milan, Jaclyn (Ricky) Westmoreland of Newbern, Austin (fiance Hannah) Horne of Bradford, and Alex Horne of Bradford. He had six great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Shiloh Cemetery near Bradford. Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday evening from 5 8 pm at the funeral home and on Wednesday morning from 10 11 am at the funeral home.
Because of the Covid-19 Pandemic, everyone attending the visitation/funeral service is required to wear a facemask.
