Funeral services for Ruthie Mae Lifsey, age 95 of Milan, will take place at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 22, 2023, at the Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Centerville Cemetery near Medina. Visitation will take place Sunday from 12:00 PM until service time at the funeral home. Ruthie was born in Hickman, KY on May 10, 1928, to the late Archie and Effie Duffy Carter. She passed away on October 19, 2023, at the Christian Care Center in Medina. Ruthie was retired from Milan Shirt Factory where she was a seamstress. Ms. Lifsey loved taking care of her grand and great grandchildren. She will be missed as a loving mother and grandmother. Ms. Lifsey is survived by her daughters, Janet Wicker of Milan, Pamela Rush of Milan, and Cindy (Frank) Bobbitt of Medina. She was Granny Bear to 7 grandchildren: Jacob Rush, Leah Dycus, Audrey Jean Rush, Matthew Hensley, Brandon Hensley, Peyton Bobbitt, and Andrea Vaughn; and 14 great grandchildren: Kaleb Moon, Kolton Moon, Carson Dycus, Mckenzie Rush, Winter Thatcher, Drake Thatcher, James Rush, Rylee Hensley, Levi Hensley, JL Bobbitt, Peyton Bobbitt, Wesley Miller, Kayla Miller, and Carson Bobbitt. Besides her parents, Ruthie is preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Lifsey, 2 brothers, and 3 sisters.
