Ryan David Truett, 42, passed away on Sunday, August 21,2022. Ryan was born on January 11, 1980 in Milan, Tennessee. In 1994, he moved with his family to Adams, Tennessee, where he attended Jo Byrns High School in Cedar Hill and Tennessee Tech in Nashville. They lived on a farm where he spent most of his time riding the tractor, working in the hay field and riding the many horses he loved and cared for. After school, he returned to Milan. He worked in various areas of construction that included building, carpentry and roofing. Ryan is survived by his wife, Leslie, children McKaylan, Trint and Chasten Truett, Stepchildren Celena, Madison and Peyton Hudson, mother, Sandra Huffman, father and step mother, Glenn and Vickie Truett, brother, Jay Truett, sister, Courtney Truett Lewis, nieces, Isabella Jones and Shelby Jay Truett, grandson, Easton Matthews and long time friend, Kenny Hardin. Ryan was known for his friendliness, and he never hesitated to let people know that he loved them. We take comfort in knowing that Ryan is now at peace surrounded by light. May his short life here be one that advances his soul so that his next step is simple and full of happiness. Funeral services will take place at 3:00 PM Sunday, August 28, 2022, at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the McDaniel family cemetery near Milan. Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
