Funeral service for Sally Knox Hunley, age 104 of Milan, will be held on Monday, January 22, 2024, at 2 PM at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Gibson County Memory Gardens near Milan. Visitation with the family will be held on Monday from 12 – 2 at the funeral home.

She was born on December 13, 1919, to James Burton and Della Gorman Knox in Fruitland. Sally worked and retired as an LPN having worked for Ridgewood Nursing Home (NHC), Ridgewood Home Care and the Milan Hospital. She was a member of the Northside Baptist Church and a fifty-year member of the Eastern Star #261.

She is survived by two daughters Pam Tidwell (Ronnie) of Milan and Jane Burlison of Atwood, stepchildren James Hunley (Debby) of Cleburne, TX, Johnnie Hunley (Shelia) of Canyon, TX and Lavern Cole (Doug) of Pensacola, FL, eleven grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren and thirteen great great grandchildren. Besides her parents, Sally was preceded in death by her husbands Hubert Turner and James Hunley, two daughters Joyce Kail and Donna Sue Hays, grandson David Sloan, four brothers Harvey Knox, Marvin Knox, Edris Knox and Thomas Knox and two sisters Mary Reasons and Pearl Perry Gordon.
