Samuel Lee McLemore, age 79 of Lavinia, passed away Sunday December 29, 2024, at Jackson General Hospital. He was born to the late Abe McLemore and Mozelle Newell McLemore on July 19, 1945.

Sam worked at ITT for 11 years before moving to Texas were he owned and operated a horse transportation business. On returning to Lavinia, he had a farm where he raised thoroughbred horses and cattle for the last 30 years.

He is survived by his wife Rebecca Sanford McLemore; daughter, Valerie Sharp of Jackson, TN; son, Chris McLemore and wife Jenny of Piperton, TN; sister, Betty Lewis and husband Bill of Lavinia; grandchildren, Kayla Grace Sharp, Hannah McLemore, Haven McLemore, Jaxon Sharp and Ethan McLemore.

Besides his parents, Sam is preceded in death by a brother, Ralph McLemore and a sister, Margie Bell.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday January 4, 2025, at the Bodkin Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
