Sandra Ary Fisher, known lovingly to family and friends as Sandy, passed away on April 8, 2026, in Milan, Tennessee, following an extended illness. She was 82 years old. Born on August 5, 1943, in St. Louis, Missouri, she lived a life marked by devotion to her family, her church, and the many people whose lives she touched with her warmth and steady presence.
Sandy was the daughter of the late William and Mary Frances Earney Ary and was also preceded in death by her sister, Beverly Grateke. She is survived by her sister, Chrissy Ary.
Her family was the center of her life, and she cherished each of them deeply. She is survived by her children, Brad Haase and his wife Linda, and Mandy Kato and her husband Chris; her stepchildren, John Fisher and his wife Becky, Ricky Fisher and his wife Rosemary, and Sally Fisher Via. She also leaves behind a large and loving family of grandchildren, including Clara Haase, Maddie and Joe Kato, Jack, Lucas, Olivia and Hank Fisher, John Brittian Via and Ryan Via, Ricky Dean, III, Lily, Martha, Hal, Gabe, Dominic, Max and Ella Fisher, as well as 10 great-grandchildren.
Sandy will be remembered as a loving, intelligent, and thoughtful woman whose quiet strength and kind heart left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. She had a gentle way of making others feel welcome and valued, and she carried herself with grace and sincerity throughout her life. Her family and friends will long remember her for her compassion, her wisdom, and the genuine care she showed in all that she did.
A woman of faith, Sandy was a member of the Milan Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where she found fellowship and strength. Her church family was an important part of her life, and her presence there reflected the same devotion and kindness she offered to those closest to her. She valued community and connection, and she lived out those values in both word and deed.
Sandy retired from Jane Jones Employment Agency after years of dedicated work. Throughout her career, she was known for her professionalism and her dependable nature. She approached her work with the same intelligence and thoughtfulness that characterized every part of her life, earning the respect of coworkers and those she served.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 18, at 12:00 PM at the Milan Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Visitation with the family will take place at the church from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM prior to the service. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a life well lived and to honor the many ways Sandy blessed those around her.
Sandra Ary Fisher leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and quiet strength. Though her passing brings deep sorrow, her memory will remain a source of comfort and gratitude to all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her life was a testament to the enduring power of family, faith, and kindness, and she will be dearly missed.
