Sara Jane Fly, age 88 of Milan, passed away on September 10, 2018 at Milan General Hospital. Born on March 23, 1930 to her parents Champ and Beadie Vaughn Cole, she was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ and she was retired from the Milan Mirror Exchange and the Ramseys Dress Shop. Besides her parents, Ms. Fly was preceded in death by her husband R. D. Fly and two brothers Jerry Cole and Bill Cole. She is survived by a son Robert Irvin Fly (Mary Martha) of Milan, a daughter Suzanne Dedmon (Franklin) of Milan, a brother Ronnie Cole (Jane) of Dyersburg, four grandchildren Lee Dedmon of Nashville, Andy Dedmon (Jen) of Milan, Ellen McCadams (Clint) of Atwood and Rob Fly (Rachel) of Milan, three great-grandchildren Ella Grace McCadams, Will Dedmon and Laina Dedmon and two sisters in law Annette Cole of Dyersburg and Jimmie Cole Holt of Humboldt. Funeral service for Ms. Fly will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Centerville Cemetery near Milan. Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday from 12 2 pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed the Main Street Church of Christ Scholarship Fund.
