Memorial service for Shirley Lou Summers, age 70 of Sharon, will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Sharon. Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday from 10 am 1 pm at the church. Shirley was born on May 23, 1948 to her parents John E. and Bonnie Lou Elliott Dortch, Jr. She was a member of the Chapel Hill Baptist Church in Milan. She faithfully served alongside her husbands pastorates in various churches in Weakley and Gibson Counties. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Johnny Lewis Summers. Shirley is survived by her husband Dr. Jerry Summers, two children Kim Spain (David) of Bradford and Jamie Summers (Angela) of Martin, four grandchildren Summer Tyler (Phillip) of Bradford, Audrey Evans (Austin) of Bradford, Madison Summers of Martin and Jonathan Summer of Martin and two great-grandchildren Miles Tyler and Mason Tyler both of Bradford.
