Stephen
Davis, Jr
October 18, 1940 – September 25, 2024
Steve R. Davis, Jr. (AKA Bud) was born October 18, 1940, in Auburn, Michigan. He was the son of Steve and Margaret Davis. At an early age they moved to Escondido, CA. Moving to California he became an Owner/ Operator of a successful grocery store. Carlton's Apple Market was a business he was very proud of. He enjoyed his Wife, Kids and Grandkids working alongside of him. He was successful as a store owner as well as becoming the Chamber President and Kiwanis President of the county of Los Angeles, CA.
Steve worked hard and tirelessly to provide for his family. At times, too hard. This meant he would miss out on many things. When Steve did take his time off, he enjoyed his time with his family at the campgrounds, the river and his property. Where many memories were made.
In 2006 Steve and Jackie moved to Atwood, TN and later bought a little farm where Steve began to enjoy his days as a farmer. Until he discovered how much he hated his losing battle with the leaves in TN. If you all know Steve, you know about the leaves. Funny thing, he did not have one tree in his yard. He would like to thank his neighbors for this.
Life & miles kept some of us apart but just know he loved you all. Steve was loved so much and we hope he can only see that today. To his wife Jackie, Ditto!
Steve is survived by his wife Jackie of 43 years.
