Steven Randolph Slayton passed away at this home on Thursday, February 29, 2024, after a 2-year battle with bone cancer.

Funeral services for Steven Randolph Slayton age 69 of Lexington, will take place at 3:00 PM Saturday, March 2, 2024, at the Bodkin Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.

Steve was born on January 3, 1955, in Helena Arkansas. Steve worked at NYX in Linden as Materials Manager. He graduated from Bethel College with a Bachler of Science degree Magan Cum Laude in 2008 when he was 54 years old. Steve was a huge Arkansas Razorback football fan. He was Baptist by faith.

Daughter - Jaclyn Cook (Bryan) of Milan, TN

Sons – Jason Slayton (Dawn) of Batesville, MS and James Nicholas Slayton of Milan, TN

Step Son – Adam White (Amy) Medina

Step Daughter – Magan Corbin (Andy) Medina

Sister – Connie Lavella (Albert) of Lawton, OK

Grandchildren – Dylan Cook, Ethan Cook, Landon Slayton, Logan Slayton, Jay Slayton, Will Slayton, Harper Corbin, Aubrey White, and Abel White

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Charlotte Slayton; son, Charles Slayton; and a sister, Susan Slayton.
