Teresa K. Williams passed away on August 12, 2026, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on November 29, 1963, in the Parkburg community of Jackson, Tennessee, to the late D.C. and Lillian Williams. Teresa was the youngest of eight siblings.

Teresa truly had a giving heart. She would give you the shirt off her back and never met a stranger. Her kindness, generosity, and warm spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

Teresa was employed by Granges America, a job she loved and took great pride in. She took early retirement due to her illness.

Teresa enjoyed many things, but some of here favorites were spending time at the “lodge” with her fiancé Greer and Disney trips with her daughter in law, Brittany. 

Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and her grandchildren were what made her life complete. She treasured every moment with them and loved being their Grammie. Teresa taught them many important life lessons, but perhaps the greatest lesson she gave them was the importance of giving to others and having a kind heart. They will miss their Grammie dearly and carry her love and lessons with them always.

Teresa is survived by the love of her life and fiancé, Greer Lashlee; her son, Brennen Ward (Brittany); her daughter, Kelli Ward; and her grandchildren, Bryant Ward, Brookelynn Ward, Maddie Ward, and Taitlynn Ward.

She is also survived by her siblings, Carol Wells (Elvin), Kenneth Williams (Wanda), Debra Chmiel, Vicky Lovelace (Steve), Patricia Williams, and sister in-law Pat Williams.

Teresa was preceded in death by her brothers, Gary Williams and Michael Williams.

She also leaves behind lifelong friends Lori McManus and Mona Crabtree, who held a special place in her heart. Their friendship meant so much to Teresa throughout her life.

And, of course, Teresa would not want anyone to forget Hank. Hank was a rescue dog Teresa discovered on Facebook, and from the moment she saw him, she knew he was meant to be hers. They shared nine wonderful years together and Hank was a beloved part of her family.

Teresa will be remembered for her generous heart, her love for her family and friends, her ability to make others feel welcome, and the countless ways she gave of herself to those around her. Her memory will live on through the people she loved and the many lives she touched.

She will be deeply missed, but her love, kindness, and lessons of giving will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A visitation will be held at Bodkin Funeral Home, located at 2000 N First St, Milan, Tennessee, on August 21, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Immediately following, a Celebration of Life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. at the same location, giving all who knew Teresa an opportunity to honor her memory and reflect on a life well lived. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery in Milan.
