Obituary

Teresa Kay Williams, born November 29, 1963, in Jackson, Tennessee, passed away on August 12, 2026. Her life was a testament to strength, compassion, and unwavering commitment to family and friends.

Teresa’s roots shaped a remarkable journey filled with deep connections and lifelong bonds. She was the beloved daughter of the late D.C. and Lillian Mayo Williams, whose values of kindness and perseverance she carried throughout her life. Her family, both immediate and extended, was central to her happiness and fulfillment.

She is survived by her loving children: son Brennen Ward and his wife Brittany; daughter Kelli Ward; and adoring grandchildren, Brookelyn, Maddie, Tait, and Bryant Ward, all of whom brought great joy to Teresa’s heart. The cherished bonds she shared extended to her siblings—Kenneth Williams and his wife Wanda, Carolyn Wells and her husband Elvin, Vicky Lovelace and her husband Steve, Deborah Chmiel, and Patricia Williams—whose steadfast support enriched her days. Teresa also leaves behind her fiancé Greer Lashlee, whose significant role in her life was known to those closest to her.

Teresa is preceded in death by her parents, D.C. and Lillian Mayo Williams, as well as her brothers, Michael and Gary Williams. The loss of these family members served only to deepen her commitment to those she loved, leaving a legacy of enduring affection and unity.

A visitation will be held at Bodkin Funeral Home, located at 2000 N First St, Milan, Tennessee, on August 21, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Immediately following, a Celebration of Life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. at the same location, giving all who knew Teresa an opportunity to honor her memory and reflect on a life well lived.  Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery in Milan.

Through her daily acts of kindness and the lasting relationships she fostered, Teresa Kay Williams leaves behind a meaningful legacy. She will be remembered with respect and gratitude by all whose lives she touched.
