Mark Spain, born on September 12, 1955, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2026, at NHC in Milan. He was a devoted individual whose life was marked by dedication to his community, family, and faith.
A proud graduate of Milan High School, Mark went on to own and operate a lawn service business for many years. Through his work, he became known not only for his commitment to quality but also for his generosity. He regularly mowed the yards of several senior citizens at no charge, especially for those facing financial difficulties, exemplifying his compassionate nature.
Mark was a faithful member of Milan First Assembly of God Church for many years, where his presence and spirit were cherished. In later years, before his illness, he attended services regularly at Love and Truth Church in Jackson. His faith was a cornerstone of his life and comfort throughout his journey.
Beyond his professional and spiritual commitments, Mark contributed meaningfully to the community in various ways. He was known to visit numerous nursing homes, spending time with residents and often donating funds to provide extra supplies and snacks for their enjoyment. His kindness extended to supporting Milan High School's football team, where he took on the responsibility of driving the equipment van to out-of-town games for many seasons, demonstrating his willingness to lend a helping hand wherever needed.
Mark is preceded in death by his father, Carthel Spain, his mother, Mary Day Todd Spain, and his two brothers, Philip Spain and Stephen Spain.
The community will gather to honor Mark’s life at a graveside service held on June 2, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Double Springs Cemetery, located at 18 Double Springs Road in Humboldt, Tennessee, 38343.
Mark Spain’s legacy is one of kindness, service, and faithfulness. His gentle spirit and generous heart touched many lives, leaving an enduring impact that will be remembered with respect and affection.
