Funeral service for Vernelle Horne, age 95 of Bradford, will be held on Monday, September 9, 2019 at 2 pm at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Shiloh Cemetery near Bradford. Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday from 5 8 pm and on Monday from 12 2 pm at the funeral home. She was born on September 14, 1923 to J. D. and Mattie Creasy Lowery in Trenton. Ms. Horne was a member of the Bradford Church of Christ and graduated from Peabody High School in 1942. She retired from public work from Green Apparel. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Hubert Doyle Horne, three brothers Fred Lowery, Richard Lowery and Sonny Lowery and two sisters Ruth Allen and Evelyn Baker. She is survived by two children Ronnie Horne (Lynda) of Bradford and Donna Lanciloti (John F.) of Milan, a sister Mattie Ann Lassiter of Dyer, five grandchildren Andy Horne (Leighann) of Bradford, Amie Britt of Jackson, Brandon Lanciloti (Holly) of Lexington, Raven Henley (Jason) of Henderson and Tony Lanciloti (Kristine) of Milan, thirteen great-grandchildren Austin Horne and Alex Horne both of Bradford, Jeremy Smith (Courtney) of Milan, Jaclyn Westmoreland (Ricky) of Newbern, Camilla Lanciloti and Bennett Lanciloti both of Lexington, Alden Henley, Brendan Henley and Colton Henley all of Henderson, Caley Lanciloti, Seth Lanciloti, Will Lanciloti and Keegan Lanciloti all of Milan, and four great-great grandchildren Trayson Westmoreland, Blakely Westmoreland, Isebella Westmoreland and Oakley Westmoreland all of Newbern.
