Funeral service for Virginia Hawks Lawrence, age 87 of Milan, will be held on Friday, August 21, 2020 at 2 pm at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Pisgah Cemetery in Atwood. Visitation with the family will be held Thursday evening from 5 8 pm and on Friday from 12 2 pm at the funeral home. She was born on January 14 ,1933 to John and Velma Hawks and she had previously worked for NHC Healthcare in Milan before her retirement. Virginia is survived by four sons Clayton Lawrence (Kim) of Milan, John Lawrence (Brenda) of Jackson, Jamie Lawrence (Trina) of Milan and Stanley Lawrence of Homersville, GA, one sister Mary Jane Gunter (Ronnie) of Mauldin, SC, twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
