Wayne Carr 90 of Concord passed away at Medina Christian Care on December 23, 2022. He was born February 28, 1932, in Concord where he lived his whole life except for his time in the Army and a brief few years in Chicago. Wayne loved the Lord and was a Sunday School Teacher and Deacon. He was a faithful member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Bradford. He worked at various manufacturing jobs and farmed and eventually retired from the UT Ag Museum in Milan. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan as well as Tennessee Volunteer fan. He enjoyed listening to Steve Hemann broadcast Gibson County sports on Friday nights. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ruth, and children David (Laurey) Carr of Nolensville, TN and Carol (Tony) Bedwell of Lexington, TN and three grandchildren he loved dearly: Cailyn and Kelsey Carr and Holden Bedwell. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Bodkin Funeral Home at 12 PM with burial to follow in the Concord Cemetery near Milan. Visitation with the family will be held on Monday from 5 7 PM and on Tuesday from 11 AM 12 PM at the funeral home.
