Funeral service for Joseph Wayne Taylor, age 73 of Gibson, will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 2 PM at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the White Rose Cemetery in Gibson. Visitation with the family will be held on Friday evening from 5 – 8 PM and on Saturday from 12 – 2 PM at the funeral home.

Wayne was born on January 2 ,1951 to Hugh Clarence and Della R. Lashlee Taylor in Humboldt. He attended the Trenton First Assembly of God and he retired from Tower Automotive in Milan.

He is survived by his wife Joan Taylor of Gibson, two daughters Bethany Dyer (Jason) of Jackson and Tracey Erin Boone of Gibson, a brother Paul Taylor (Marlene) of Paris, four grandchildren Jessica Dyer of Norfolk, VA, Cassidy Dyer of Sioux Falls, SD, Peyton Dyer and Autumn Dyer both of Jackson and two great grandchildren Waverly and Thatcher Dyer both of Portland, OR. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers James Thomas Taylor and Billie R. Taylor and two sisters Eulene Ransom and Carrie Norman.
