Funeral services for Mrs. Willie Jo McCall, age 81 of Milan, will be held 2pm Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at the Milan First General Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Hopewell Cemetery in Medina. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday evening from 6pm until 9pm at the church. Mrs. Jo was a very active member of the First General Baptist Church in Milan where she worked with the youth ministry for years. She also sang with the group "On A Mission". She was a retired manager at an upholstery company. Surviving Family: Husband - Steve McCall of Milan Sons - Samuel "Doug" Barnett of Clarkson, MS, Bruce Barnett of Clarkson, MS, and Billy Barnett of Mathiston, MS Daughters - Debbie Fulgham of Caledonia, MS, Donna Davis of Clarkson, MS and Sandra Raines of Clarkson, MS Step Sons - David McCall of Milan, Rex McCall of Tupelo, MS and Lamar McCall of Ackerman, MS Brothers - J.B. Newsom and Dorman "Red" Newsom Sisters - Bonnie Carillo, Freddie Wooten Fulks, Emma Talbert, and Linda Beasley Grandchildren - 22 Several Great Grandchildren Great Great Grandchild - 1 She is preceded in death by her parents, John Burl Newsom and Mary Irene Henderson Newsom, and brothers, Bruce and Kenny Newsom.
