Obituary

William Glenn Bloodworth Sr, 88 of Milan, TN, passed away on December 27, 2021 at his home in Milan. Visitation will be from 11 AM until 2 PM on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Bodkin Funeral Home. Private graveside services will follow at Walnut Grove Methodist Church cemetery with Minister F.T. Patton, officiating. Mr. Bloodworth was born in Golden Pond, KY. to Prentis and Ora Bloodworth on February 19, 1934. Upon Graduation from high school in Louisville, KY he married the late Halie Jean Coffey on July 7, 1952, in Jellico, TN. Shortly thereafter Mr. Bloodworth joined the United States Air Force, serving for twenty years until his retirement in 1972. In civilian life, he worked for Sears and Roebuck as a mechanic, as a maintenance worker at Williamson County General Hospital, and ended his working career as Maintenance Director at Milan General Hospital in Milan, TN. Mr. Bloodworth was a lifetime Mason being raised in the Masonic Orphans Home in St. Mathew, KY. He achieved the order of Master Mason and was a member of Masonic Lodge #191 in Milan, TN. He served Christ as he was able through his local church. Mr. Bloodworth is preceded in death by his parents, sister (Jettie), brother (Leslie), wife Halie, wife Mary Alice, and a son (Landis). He is survived by: Son William G. Bloodworth Jr (Janet) of McKenzie, TN. Daughter, Dolly Ann (Daniel) Sandor of Milan, TN. Son Tay Scott (Martha) of Milan, TN, daughter in law Vicky Sutton Bloodworth of Milan, TN one sister Cricket (Don) of KY, and sisters Anna Mae, and Mary Lou of Michigan. He is grandfather to Jason, Katie, and Emily Bloodworth of McKenzie, TN, Bryan Sandor of Milan, TN. Adam Sandor (Gina) of Pleasant View, TN, Kyle Bloodworth (Courtney) of Panama City, FL, Trevor (Cari) Bloodworth of Elizabethtown, KY, Tom Bloodworth (Caley) of Auburn, AL and Kay (Daniel) Jenkins of Yakota, Japan. Great-Grandfather to Kinsley, Allison, Elliot, Emerson, Halie and three arriving soon.
