Funeral services for William Elmer "Moose" Gordon, age 84 of Humboldt, will take place at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in Gibson County Memory Gardens near Milan. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 12:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.

Moose was born April 9, 1941, to the late Cautis and Pearline Chandler Gordon. He passed away May 17, 2025, at Milan General Hosptial.

Moose was a member of Harvest Church in Humboldt. He retired from TDOT where he worked in maintenance. Moose also worked as a locksmith for many years. Mr. Gordon was a former mayor of Gibson.

Moose is survived by his wife, Gladys Gordon; son, Kevin Gordon of Gibson; grandchildren, Mollie Gordon, Megan Gordon, Josie Gordon, Hunter Gordon, Ethan Gordon, and Lucas Gordon; and two great grandchildren, Walker Galvan and Waylon Gordon.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Larry Dale, Bobby Lee, and James Elison Gordon, and sisters, Joy Gordon, Mary Magdelene Edwards, Annie Lou Greenway and Irene Lindsey.
