Funeral service for William Marshall Graves, age 84 of Milan, will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 11 AM at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the White Rose Cemetery in Gibson. Visitation with the family will be held on Friday from 6 – 8 PM and on Saturday from 10 – 11 AM at the funeral home. Marshall passed away on May 6, 2025, at NHC Healthcare after an extended illness.

Marshall was born on September 2, 1940, to Levi and Essie Ferguson Graves in Blacksburg, VA. Marshall retired from Salem Frame Company in Salem, VA after 39 years of service. After retirement, he and his wife moved to Milan where they have called home for the past 20 years. Marshall was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years Helen Graves of Milan, three children Kevin Graves (Michele) of San Marcos, TX, Jeff Graves (Cherie) of Factoryville, PA and Lisa Bradford (Kevin) of Milan, two brothers Levi Graves, Jr. (Pam) of Salem, VA and Curtis Graves (Laurie) of East Peoria, IL, one sister Sue Fritz of Salem, VA, eight grandchildren David Graves, Jenny Graves Lopez (Anthony), Michael Graves (Alex), Jessica Cox (Blake), Josh Graves, Julia Graves, Emily Bradford Wright (Andrew) and Katelyn Bradford and seven great grandchildren Charlotte Lopez, Savannah Lopez, Amelia Graves, Cadie Cox, Dex Cox, Addi Cox and Ellie Cox. In addition to his parents, Marshall was preceded in death by a sister Ellen Camden.

The family wishes to express a sincere word of gratitude to the nurses and staff of NHC Healthcare of Milan and Caris Hospice for all their love and support.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Scholarship Fund of the Main Street Church of Christ.
