Funeral services for Mr. William Terry Hancock, age 78 of Bradford, will take place at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 7, 2020, at the Bodkin Funeral Home. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Terry was a member of First Baptist Church Milan. He retired from the United States Army after 33 years of service. During his service, he received many decorations, medals, badges, and campaign ribbons including Army Achievement Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Southwest Asia Medal with 4 Bronze Service Stars, Humanitarian Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, and Saudi Kuwait Liberation Medal. He was a member of the Milan VFW, American Legion, and the Milan Masonic Lodge. Surviving Family: Wife - Becky Hancock of Bradford, TN Son - Christopher Porter and wife Bethany of Biloxi, MS Daughter - Stacie Owens and husband Robby of Milan, TN Grandchildren - Madison Hooker, Hudson Hooker, Sydney Owens, Riley Owens, Lola Jane Owens, Kirah Smith, Selina Smith, Melody Porter, Terri Porter, Blake Porter, Matthew Porter, and 1 great-grandchild He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Terry is preceded in death by his parents, Dewey Hancock and Katherine Chapman Hamrick, son, Tony Hancock, and sister, Kathy Vanhook.
