Funeral services for Mrs. Wilma Ann Hassell, age 78 of Milan, will take place at 11:00 AM Monday, February 4, 2019, at the First Baptist Church in Milan with burial to follow in the Oakwood Cemetery in Milan. Visitation with the family will take place Sunday evening from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home and Monday morning from 9:00 AM until service time at the First Baptist Church in Milan. Mrs. Hassell was a dedicated member of Milan First Baptist Church. She was a retired Milan school teacher where she honored as Milan Outstanding Young Educator in 1971, MEA Distinguished Classroom Teacher 1991-1992, and Milan Chamber of Commerce Educator of the Year in 1999. Her teaching career spanned from 1962-1972 and 1976-1999. She was a member of MEA, the Milan Music Club, and WMU. Surviving Family: Daughter - Janet Roberson and husband Kirk of Milan Grandchildren - Matthew Norris Roberson and Kathryn Reece Roberson She is preceded in death by her parents, Vernon Leon Johns and Lura Ruth Ingram Johns, and her husband Norris Hassell.
